The objectives of PHASE Worldwide are in line with the following Millenium Development Goals adopted by the United Nations General assembly on 18th September 2000 (UN MDGs):
Goal number 1:
Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
(by increasing income opportunities of particularly the poorest groups of society)
Goal number 2:
Achieve universal primary education
(by increasing access to education in remote areas, and improving the quality of
education) 
Goal number 3:
Promote gender equality and empower women
(by raising female literacy, giving health education and encouraging participation of women in management of the projects)
Goal number 4:
Reduce child mortality
(by increasing access to basic health services and encouraging vaccination and family planning)
Goal number 5:
Improve maternal health
(by increasing access to antenatal and intrapartum care and family planning services and by raising awareness of common health problems)
Goal number 6:
Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
(particularly, improve case finding and treatment of TB, and prevent spread of HIV through health education and distribution of condoms)
Goal number 7:
Ensure environmental sustainability
(this goal includes increasing access to safe drinking water; PHASE will also contribute to environmental stability by introducing sustainable forms of energy, wood-saving methods, and alternative sources of income for farmers in a sustainable way.)
GOAL number 8:
Develop a global partnership for development
(this goal includes addressing the special needs of landlocked countries, making
available new technologies and other, more global goals. PHASE is encouraging the
Nepali partners to get involved and take the lead, to make sure that our work addresses
local needs.)
